Pilot Academy

A coffee that we had many times but lately I have changed my evaluation of it. It tastes like a regular coffee and I am less impressed by it. There is a darker side to it that I had not noticed as much before.

I tried it as an espresso and in a v60. I tried different grind size and extraction time with my espresso machine but I could not get something better. Neither are better and this will be the last bag of it.

From all the notes listed on the bag:

• citrus
• caramel
• balanced

I can’t taste any. There is a little bit of acidity but I can’t say that it gives it a citrusy flavour.

The bitterness is pushing it out of my regulars.
